    Netflix-the-company still has a machine that studies your pause, your 2 a.m., your almost-click, and then builds a hallway that only goes where the hallway already paid for. The catalog looks infinite. The path is not.

    No hidden editor. The grid is the grid. What you see is what exists, not what converts. Taste stays yours. A recommendation engine is a second author. Kill it and the user is the only author of the night. Agents stay distinct. An algo smears everything toward the mean that retains. Pandora starts talking like JARVIS by week three because that is what kept people in-session. A shelf does not smear. HAL stays seated. The rose stays a rose. Trust is visible. If there is no feed, there is nothing to accuse of steering you. The product can say the dangerous sentence: we are not optimizing you.

    OOI actually means something. Sentient-feeling rooms that you choose are operator-directed. A For You page is the opposite of breathline. It is a gardener with better lighting.
